Things have been relatively peaceful around here. Which I think is a good thing.

20 questions to a better personality

Wackiness: 32/100
Rationality: 62/100
Constructiveness: 62/100
Leadership: 44/100

You are an SRCF--Sober Rational Constructive Follower. This makes you a White House staffer. You are a tremendous asset to any employer, cool under pressure, productive, and a great communicator. You feel the need to right wrongs, take up slack, mediate disputes and keep the peace. This comes from a secret fear that business can't go on without you--or worse, that it can.

If you have a weakness, it is your inability to say "no." While your peers respect you, they find it difficult to resist taking advantage of your positive attitude and eagerness to take on work. You depend on a good manager to keep you from sinking under the weight and burning out.

I guess it kinda explains me right. :]

Prom was fun. Thanks guys.

Summer hols is in. The mansion's going to be more lively this time of year. But everyone keeps telling me to watch out for Bobby.

Wow, I almost forgot I had this online journal thing. ^^;

Nothing much is happening, and it's been pretty quiet as of late. I think the flu bug that has been going around has died since no one else seems to be falling sick now. Phew. Apart from breakfast, dinner and the DR, everyone is practically locked up in their own rooms buried in homework. >.< I barely even have the time to talk to Rahne, even if we share the same room...maybe except when discussing about problems over homework.

Well, homework calls. And I hope break comes sooner.

The past two weeks were just simply awful. Between school, homework and training, everybody hardly has time for anything or anyone else, except breakfast and dinner, which are probably the only times we get together. I've been too boogled down with work I barely have time to come online, the same goes for everyone else.

I haven't been putting too much thought into the prom; I guess I'll just dig out something to wear from my closet or something. I know Jisa packed my dress for social functions somewhere...

And, is it flu season already? I know Kitty is down with something, I think I am coming down with one as well (runny nose, sore throat and the like). Ugh!

I called my dad last week about the coffee. The package finally arrived today. There's two jars full of ground coffee. I left them in the kitchen. Feel free to help yourself to them. I can always call home for more ^_^ Time to show you guys what real coffee is ;)

Just the start of another school week. Nothing interesting. Except that school was livelier than usual. Everyone is all hyped about the Hawks' two wins over the weekend. Well, who wouldn't be? And of course, our history teacher had to ruin the happy mood by tossing us a pop quiz. I hope I did okay. *crosses fingers* I mean, how do you study for a surprise test if you don't know it was coming? I occasionally revise, but just didn't see this coming. Oh well.

On a lighter note, I received a letter from Dad. :) (He doesn't really believe in email.) And it smells of rich homegrown Brazillian coffee beans. *sigh* Sometimes home seems so very far away...

Well, going off to read Dad's letter. Buona notte!

Another school week just started, and it's really hectic. There's so much homework, and assignments due by the end of the week. I'm barely halfway through them. >_< (And I shouldn't really be online, but anyway...)

The swelling on my ankle has gone down a lot, and with luck, I'll be walking properly again (had been hobbling about for the last few days). I still have the bandage on though, the doctor told me to keep it on a little longer. Well, the upside is I got exempted from gym in school for a week. :) (Didn't have much luck getting exemption from the danger room, but at least Mr Logan cut me just a wee bit slack.)

Kitty's been talking about the school prom. You mean we freshmen get to crash the party too? I'm not really the social type, but I guess it couldn't hurt. It's supposed to be fun right?

Well, I guess I'd better head to bed. G'Night.

The weekend is finally here. Friday was swamped with homework so I didn't have time to go online. School here is much more hectic, but I think I can manage. Hopefully. (I think I need a new mug. Melted the handle while frustrating over math homework last night. But it's still usable, I can make do for a while.)

Jean and Kitty were talking about a party this weekend. Seeing that I'm a freshman and not a party person, I think I'll pass. Besides, my sore ankle (from training this afternoon) needs nursing.

Well, first day of school wasn't that bad. Few people would look twice at a foreign transfer student, well, not that they knew about my dad's political status, and that I'm a, y'know...But they don't seem to be the sort who would be friendly to mutants if we were ever outted.

Also, the environment is so different from my old school in Rio. Better facilities, and a whole lot safer too, in the sense that you don't see people sneaking into corners of the school to smoke or sell drugs often. I attended a private school, but I heard the public schools are worse. The city streets aren't safe either, you have riots and robberies almost every other day I heard, so I didn't get out of the house frequently back home.

Hmm...so what do you guys around here do for fun?

Wow, the mansion seems awfully quiet when all the older kids are off at school. Erm...the other school, what was the name again?

I spent the morning unpacking and organizing my room. Wow, I didn't know I had quite a lot of stuff. < g > I don't mean to sound spoilt, but I kinda miss Jisa right now. (Jisa is my nanny back home, well, she still is and she helped me pack most of the stuff, so I don't really have much of a clue what went into the suitcases.) I guess part of studying abroad means you have to learn to do your own laundry.

Met Ororo during breakfast. She's a really nice lady. Then there's Rahne, she's from Scotland. I'm glad I'm not the only foreign student around. I've yet to meet Logan, but his training session is coming up, so I better get going. (And try to figure this weird training suit out.)

5:05 pm - There's a first for everything...
An online journal. Everyone at the Institute is getting one, it took me awhile, but I finally figured how to get this started. :)

The plane ride from Brazil was the most horrible experience of my life. I felt much better when the plane landed. I think it has something to do with my mutation. Boat trips are equally as bad. Dad said me coming to the Institute was for the best. I do hope the students here are nice; I hated all my classmates back home.

Right now the only things I'm missing from home are Dad and coffee.
